The V92 from VS Security Products is a compact and powerful tape degausser, suitable for the professional erasure of magnetic audio, video and data tapes. The V92 operates in a non-continuous cycle of 6 minutes after which the unit automatically switches off for 10 minutes to cool down. Erasing a tape takes 10 seconds on average. This amounts to a total capacity of about 60 tapes or cassettes per hour.

The VS Security Products V92 degausser works with an internal coil magnet that generates a strong, continuous magnetic field. The magnetic field is oriented so that its strength is maximal just above the surface of the V92 degausser. Tapes and floppy disks are professionally erased by moving them over the top of the degausser through the magnetic field. This resets the polarity of the metal particles and deletes the previously recorded signal completely.

The powerful electromagnet of the V92 has a magnetic force of up to 5,100 Gauss. This allows the V92 to erase almost all kinds of magnetic tapes, both Metal and Oxide based. Due to its compact design, universal media support and simple manual operation, the V92 can be used in almost any environment.
