Flash Memory Destruction

When flash memory (USB stick, SD / microSD, CF / CFAST, MMC, PCIe) does not have to be reused, it can be physically destroyed with a Shredder. It is important that all internal chips of the flash memory are damaged.

Shredders are available for destroying different types of flash memory. A Shredder grinds the flash memory into small pieces so all internal memory chips are effectively destroyed.

Flash Memory Sanitization

Flash memory is used in, among other things, USB sticks, memory cards (SD, microSD, CompactFlash, CFast) and PCIe (M.2) cards. Flash memory is non-volatile memory and does not use a magnetic signal. This means that flash memory can not be wiped with a Degausser.

To remove data rom flash memory, it can be sanatized with an Eraser. An Eraser can simultaneously erase one or more data carriers by overwriting the existing information. Erasers are available for USB stick, SD / microSD, CF / CFast and PCIe.
