Tape Degaussing

Audio, video and data tapes use a magnificic signal for storing information. This magnetic signal can be efficiently removed with a tape degausser.

A tape degausser produces a strong continuous magnetic field using one or more electromagnets. When a tape is moved through this magnetic field any existing magnetic signal is lost. All magnetic particles on the tape are oriented in the same direction and the tape is returned to "new condition".
