The Depei SDP-02 is a powerful pulse degausser for erasing hard drives and data tapes. The Depei SDP-02 degausser uses a very powerful electromagnetic discharge (capacitive discharge) of up to 16,000 Gauss. This quickly and safely removes all information on hard disk drives (2+ TB) and magnetic tapes.

The Depei SDP-02 degausser is equipped with an internal PC with installed data logging software. A mouse, keyboard, barcode scanner and label printer can be connected directly to the SDP-02 degausser. These are available as optional Barcode Kit. With the log software extensive information about each degauss cycle can be stored for auditing or reporting purposes. An identification label can be printed for every deleted hard disk drive using the label printer.

Hard drives or tapes are placed in the drawer on the front of the SDP-02 degausser. The extra-large input tray of the SDP-02 offers space for two 3.5" hard disks or even eight 2.5" hard disks. This allows multiple hard drives to be deleted simultaneously. After the drawer is closed, the degauss cycle can be started by pressing the 7" LCD touch screen. The LCD display shows the status of the degauss cycle. Once the Depei SDP-02 indicates that the degauss cycle has been completed successfully, the drawer opens and the disk can be removed. The degauss cycle takes less than 20 seconds.

The Depei SDP-02 degausser has a continuous duty cycle of 50 discharges and can handle up to 100 3.5" hard drives per hour. In addition to 3.5", 2.5 "and 1.8" hard disks, the SDP-02 is also suitable for erasing most magnetic tape formats. A special transport case is optionally available for transporting the Depei SDP-02.
