- Manual capacitive discharge pulse degausser. The new VS Security Products DataGauss LG Max is a powerfull pulse degausser for erasing hard disk drives and tapes. The degausser can be used stand-alone or connected to a PC via a USB cable. The DataGauss LG Max offers a data log function as standard; using the included Data Destruction Auditor software, extensive information about each degauss cycle can be stored for auditing or reporting purposes. With the optional barcode scanner, information such as serial numbers can easily be added to the log. The optional DD Imager module is the perfect solution for complete media destruction auditing. Capture high quality images from each hard drive to accompany detailed erasure records, ensuring the utmost security and compliance for your data disposal needs. The DD Imager effortlessly integrates with the Data Destruction Auditor software and adds invaluable visual proof to your erasure records. The DD Imager not only capture these crucial images but also incorporates them into erasure certificates. This feature ensures that every step of the media destruction process is meticulously documented. With the optional label printer a label can be created after every degauss cycle containing all relevant information such as date, time, serial number and degauss result. These label stickers can be applied to any erased hard drive for verification. The DataGauss LG Max uses a very powerful magnetic discharge (capacitive discharge) of up to 10,000 Gauss. This removes all information on hard disk drives and magnetic tapes quickly and safely. The magnetic signal stored on the hard disk platters is completely erased by the powerful electromagnetic pulse. Degaussing ensures all information is irreparably destroyed. Hard drives or tapes are placed in the degaussing chamber at the top of the DataGauss LG Max. After the lid is closed, the degauss cycle can be started at the push of a button. The LCD display shows the status of the degauss cycle. As soon as the DataGauss LG Max indicates that the degauss cycle has been successfully completed, the lid can be opened and the disc removed. The entire degauss cycle only takes 15 seconds. The degauss cycle is continuously monitored by a built-in processor to ensure that every cycle is completed correctly. Any error messages are displayed on the LCD display or via the Erasure log Software. The DataGauss LG Max has a continuous cycle of use and can process up to 240 hard disks or tapes per hour. In addition to 3.5", 2.5" and 1.8" hard disks, the DataGauss LG Max is also suitable for erasing most magnetic tape formats. For transporting the DataGauss LG Max, a special transport case is optionally available.
